Project Description
Le Château du Coing
Confluentia | |
---|---|
Appellation | Muscadet Sèvre et Maine sur lie |
Grape Variety | Melon B. |
Yield | 40HL/HA |
Terroir | The parcel is located exactly at the confluence of the Sèvre and Maine, on a slope of 15% south facing slope. The soil has a metamorphic origin: gneiss with two micas and garnet, covered with a thin soil. |
Winemaking | Vinified on Lies for 6 months, in underground glass tanks, typical of the Nantes vineyards. No resuspension of the lees. |
Tasting | The terroir brings finesse and elegance. Nose with white fruits, grapefruit. Flinty aromas and mineral palate, powerful. Very nice length in the mouth. Bold and round, a nice balance. |
Wine Pairing… | Seafood, noble fish from the sea and rivers, some cheeses, or as an aperitif.
To taste fresh around 12°C. |
