Project Description

Le Château du Coing

Confluentia
Appellation Muscadet Sèvre et Maine sur lie
Grape Variety Melon B.
Yield 40HL/HA
Terroir The parcel is located exactly at the confluence of the Sèvre and Maine, on a slope of 15% south facing slope. The soil has a metamorphic origin: gneiss with two micas and garnet, covered with a thin soil.
Winemaking Vinified on Lies for 6 months, in underground glass tanks, typical of the Nantes vineyards. No resuspension of the lees.
Tasting The terroir brings finesse and elegance. Nose  with white fruits, grapefruit. Flinty aromas and  mineral palate, powerful. Very nice length  in the mouth. Bold and round, a nice balance.
Wine Pairing… Seafood, noble fish from the sea and rivers, some cheeses, or as an aperitif.

To taste fresh around 12°C.
